THE SOLUTION

We made the drawing in Flash, with animations that made it fun and exciting to use. We solved the problem of drawing freehand with the mouse by creating an option to switch between drawing straight lines and freehand drawing.

We also made it possible to delete everything. In addition, we created a gallery in which you could see others’ drawings and give them a score of 1–5 stars.

OUR ROLE

We were given the task by DDB of creating an intuitive and fun drawing application for GirlTalk. The upside-down concept was used to create a drawing that depicts one thing when viewed one way up and something different when turned around.

The drawing should be included in a GirlTalk gallery so that other users at GirlTalk are able to see all the drawings and to vote on each other’s drawings. They also have the ability to share it on the user’s network on Facebook.

THE CHALLENGE

It can be difficult to draw freehand with the mouse, so we had to find an alternative. The application should be intuitive, and it should also be easy to get started without instructions. We made the back-end to the voting system and storing images.
