CASE
Eva Solo
Augmented Reality
THE SOLUTION
The idea is that you hold a pattern in front of a the webcam. The camera records the pattern and the pot is displayed in 3D. Then a lobster is being dropped in the pot. The user can tilt the pattern and get the lobster to fall to one side or fall completely out of the pan.
We added sound effects to create a better user experience. The application can be used on your smartphone with the pattern. The pattern that shows the collection’s logo gives users a recognition value. It can also be printed on packaging and other printed matter.

OUR ROLE
Our role was to create an attention-grabbing, interactive gimmick involving Eva Solos packaging. We made the development of augmented reality flash module in collaboration with a 3D animator.
We had free rein to do the job. The concept was that the new pot should come into view when the augmented reality pattern was recognized in the webcam.
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge was to optimize the detailed 3D model to work on computers with low bandwidth. Augmented Reality was new work for only us but in general.
There were very few references or knowledge about the technology. It was demanding but a great challenge to work on.
